Steve writes:??I thoroughly enjoyed the hunt, the excellent cuisine, your courteous/ knowledgeable guides/ trackers, private room, wonderful lodge, all sighting in our guns before the hunt, the dedicated hunt ramp-up/ breakdown room, and varied hunting terrain ranging from hardwood forest to deep swampland.? I shot the bulk boar w/ a .338 Win Mag, 250 grain Grand Slam load, one I?ve used on big bruins in Alaska.? What surprised me (and the guide) was how the boar just took off, never faltering after being hit behind the shoulder on a fast trot at close range.? I?ve taken a lot of game, but this boar is on the top of the list as taking the lead!? Everyone that I?ve shown the attached photos has done a double-take, not knowing the Wild Boar over the centuries has been at the top of the food chain across Europe/ Russia/ Siberia.? We have our grizzly, the Africans have the lion, the Asians/ Siberians their tiger and the Europeans, dating back over the centuries, have their fierce boar, the beast that royalty hunted to verify their manly hood.? In fact, I?ve been meaning to research this topic more when I can clear the deck. Your place was tops in my book!? Thanks!
